One of the great things about my job is that you get to experience lots of little things that you other wise would not know , and the Balance refinery in Kapuni near New Plymonth is one of those , they take gas from the gas feilds off shore and convert it to nitrogen which ends up on farms as fertilizer , and to do that takes a huge amount of pipes and engineering , which happens to make nice pictures .
and makes grass grow , the assignment once again was to shot video and stills of the once yearly shut . the refinery is closed and 500 people from all around the world come and complete work in a two week period to do all of the work needed for the refinery , over 25 million gets spent in the region
